We Take Pride in Being  ”Green” Hotel. Here are some of our efforts:
Energy and Water Usage
-Efficiency upgrades:
Insulated windows replaced single pane, insulation and vapor barriers added to perimeter guest rooms, insulated doors replaced hollow core metal doors, new thresholds, compact florescent bulbs used, water efficient shower heads purchased, new low-flow toilets, HVAC units in rooms tuned and cleaned, ceiling fans added for heating and cooling efficiency, on-demand water heaters added to hot water heater and circulation pump.
Operations and Materials
-Shampoo/soap dispensers in rooms save up to 480 plastic bottles per day!
-Recycled office products and recycling bins added.
-Laminated/reusable map of hotel rooms and grounds given to guests.
-Staff using reusable water bottles and mugs (on sale to public).
-Biodegradable to-go cups.
-Serve organic, fair trade, locally produced food products where available.
-Creative touches such as re-used doors and tables made from used stair treads.
-Recycled concrete, furniture, mattresses during remodeling and local vendors.
-Guest room carpet made with recycled material and is recyclable.
-Usage of natural light with glass block windows, French doors, balconies.
-Recycled tissue and toilet paper in rooms.
-Enzymes used for guest laundry replacing heavy detergent use.
-Allergy-free rooms.
Grounds/Outdoors
-Log bridges and gazebo made with beetle-kill or fire-salvaged wood.
-Landscape: 80% native landscaping and planted grasses are drought tolerant.
-Waterfall pumps high-efficiency, water recycles, water supply is augmented by spring.
-96% efficient pool heater with energy saving cover.
-Trex with recycled material replaced decks
-Membership in Green Hotel Association.
